    Pricing ads

    I've never sold ads before.

What would a reasonable price be for the top spot (468x100 banner in the top right of the header) on my forum?

    Monthly: about 333,000 unique visitors / 535,000 visits / 22,600,000 page views

If banners are sold in rotation, is the price just scaled down accordingly? Not showing the same banner all the time might actually produce more interest in the banners...

Just for the record: I am not looking to sell ads on here.
I've had a couple of offers in the past. I just want to get an idea how much I could charge.

Use the www.ero-advertising.com test codes a day or two to see what the traffic is approx. worth per country, per language, per spot based on your traffic.

Email: [email protected] to test drive a few days if you want.

What a great offer from Eric, he should have "some" insight on, well, what-do-you-know - forum advertising.

I would of course also look into juicyads, either for thei filler ads which will rotate the whole time or for direct sales. If it's in mainstream, why not give Google Adsense a try? Also there's Black Label Ads/Adbrite (Adult/Mainstream) which you could also give a shot and see which ones are best for you.

I agree test it out with Ero Ads for a few days see what you get, then if you want to sell it yourself add a bit to that number.

There are a lot of people who are very eager to get paid CPM because nobody clicks their ads.

Whenever people ask this question its damn hard to give a specific answer ... especially without knowing the country of origin or actual clicks on the ad.

Try putting up some zones, see what numbers come back and then just leave it up

                      Okay, thanks for the answers.
Google adwords will not be possible, as it is an adult forum. Otherwise I would not have asked.
I've tried black label ads before. All I got was totally bogus links to password sharing, warez and other illegal stuff. I had to remove them.
I will take a look at the other suggestions mentioned in this thread.
