bid on specific keywords on phrase or exact match. stay away from broad match terms or not only does it hurt you, but does for me and other advertisers as well when you are showing up for non related terms
Rule 1 of adwords is dont tell people what works, lmfao. Good luck though, seriously. Tracking exactly what was typed and lead to which sales is key to controlling costs.

Thx for input - the question then becomes volume - exact match keep numbers pretty low for me.
