When I was a kid, my Mom used to give us a spoonful of Benadryl. She told us that it was special juice. I actually got addicted to it up until I was 18. That really fucked me up. Now I have graduated to crack.

People have been doing it forever.

During the 50s and 60s, mommy had valium so baby whining didn't matter so much.

I honestly think most of these issues are down to society. People have busy lives and less time to spend with their kids while their brains are developing, and the kid ends up with social issues and stunted abilities? Well, gee, it was fucking raised by Oprah and Teletubbies. Wonder why.

I think the parent knows better what's good for their kids than some shill for the drug companies handing out the flavor-of-the-week because he's got a piece of paper framed and hanging on the wall that says "I know better than you!" while getting a nice kickback every time he hooks another "patient" on whatever it is they're pushing that day.

I've been on the receiving end of flavor-of-the-week doctor's care. It ain't pretty.
And the children are just as "unsuspecting" when it's the doc prescribing it too. The doc ain't the one giving it to them daily, the parent is. Who they gonna blame when they grow up? You.

Many parents are pussies and lazy.. they let he kids control everything and don't have the balls to actually discipline the child AND they contain the child so much that anyone would want to explode. So the lazy ass parents load the kids up with drugs to take care of the problem for them. If the parents couldn't care enough to be a parent in the first place - this new form of abuse isn't going to register much for them.

Personally I don't know of a parent that drugs their kids, without a true medical reason, and dang sure nothing like this.
