    Weird google statistics

25.49% of one of my sites' google traffic comes from people searching for the domain name. 327 people out of 1,287 total searches yesterday. Seems odd but I will not complain as they averaged 11:52 minutes on the site and viewed close to 9 pages each.

has todo with browser settings, lots of people think they are entering the adress in the url field but are entering it in the google search field.

i never thought about that, it makes perfect sense. i get a fair bit of traffic to my one site just coming from people searching the domain. nothing like 25%, but enough that it is noticeable. that would be a reasonable explanation as to why!

I am sure that counts for some of it. Maybe if they just enter the domain without the .com and are using chrome.

hmm, only about 5% use chrome. FF & IE account for about 92% of the traffic.
