The war isn't over. There are still large areas we don't control, and we will need to root-out the old regime and those loyal to them before we can really move on. I mean, the war in Afganistan is still on. Why think Iraq will be over just because we have most of the capital?

what's ahead is going to be 100 times more difficult. nobody ever doubted how powerful and skilled the U.S. military machine is. Whether it was 1 week, 1 month or a year this day was going to happen. What happens from here - who knows. These people are not like us - they live partially back in Biblical times, tribalism,
we can do only so much for them, there's a chance way down the road we'll have to throw in the towel and let them settle it themselves. Hopefully not.

But at least we've finished off an evil dictator who was up to no good.
