Wow they still that crappy?
I remember having a server over there many years ago when they won the avn or xbiz or whatever it was award. Long story short worst host we have ever used ... our box was a disaster, and expensive to boot ... and after fixing it they asked us to post on GFY about how good they were etc. Even their ticket system was down for days. Joke of a company.
Thought they would have gotten their act together by now.
Should be able to go with one of the real hosts like isprime, nationalnet, mojohost, cyberwurx etc for similar cost if their prices are as high as they were. At least you will get a decent quality network not these pretenders.IW

it seems the hosts who play the best politics and are the biggest bros only win those awards - they dont look at quality.
I remember split infinity from all the complain threads here, although lately its been less than a few years ago. Webair is another host who, i think, is the record keeper of complain threads on GFY.... and guess what, they also won an xbiz award

Sorry about the downtime. Our core router brain blade went out, luckly we keep spares in stock and were able to transfer the IOS and all of our settings to the new brain and keep downtime as miminal as possible. I can understand why people are upset and there is never an excuss for being down. Our router had a malfunction and we did the best we could given the situation. If anyone has any questions or needs to get ahold of me please feel free to send me a msg or call me at 619-395-5229.

You have no idea what your talking about, and you do not host with us. Downtime happends to Datacenters its a fact of life. We had the equipment paid for and ready to replace if anything goes wrong. We have customers from day one that are still around and are very happy and have been down less then a hand fall of times. If you want to put your money where your mouth is ill give you a box on our network for free and then you can tell the world how bad your experince is with us once you actually know how we operate.

The last time a hosting company gave me an offer like that, they lost an entire members directory which had been transferred from another host as part of a package of sites I had purchased. No backup had been done as part of their "check out our kick ass service" offer so I am now forced to rebuild it all. That happened 4 years ago, give or take....I'm still working on the content off and on. At this point the site will most likely never go live again. Just too much bullshit for me to deal with.
That hosting company is NOT in my sig and yes, they were another XBiz award winner.Comment

No, but I was also not told that they were going to lose almost 100k worth of exclusive content.
If a company is trying to convince me on how kick ass their service is then perhaps they should make damn sure they have all their bases covered.
Losing data, hours of downtime, scripts that just stop working, customer service that can not be reached, mail servers that don't work, empty promises of how great their service is.....None of that is what I look for in a host.Last edited by AaronM; 04-01-2010, 10:52 AM.Comment
