    Disable comments on wordpress?

I'm sure this is probably easy right???
I don't want to give people the option to comment, its just taking up space on my site. When people do comment its just bots anyways, saying how much they like my site and my writing and they will surely be back.. its pretty funny.

anyways I thought I checked and unchecked the right things but comments are still there.. do I have to directly edit the templates?

    Thanks
    MIke

Disabling comments from the admin panel should work, but you can also edit the template and remove the comments form.

                  Easy way:

Enter in Address bar, can't find a way to access this from the admin:

                  http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/options.php

change "default_comment_status" to "closed" (without quotes of course)...works like a charm.

Go to Settings, discussion, Allow people to post comments on the article (untick it)

                    Comment

                    Working...
