                                                                      Seems it was my client ... I installed Miranda ... and it worked.

                                                                      Mind you ... I then tried Pidgin again ... and it works. I am confused. Almost as if using Miranda for two mins kicked Pidgin. I don't like ICQ's own client... but it seems I can't find one that just works all the time.

                                                                      Maybe I should just use MSN ! :D

                                                                              Ah, I have that sometimes too. WHY is ICQ the industry standard?

                                                                              Skype's no better. I have two accounts and they literally will NOT send messages to people ... they just sit there saying message cannot send. So I had to take Skype out of my communication options.

                                                                              Oh well ... I got on in the end.
