which freelance programmer site is the best?

are any of these sites known to have a higher caliber of freelancer than the others or it's the same East Indians on all of them? any have a higher number of Americans/European?
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

        I have always used www.rentacoder.com or www.getafreelancer.com.

On rentacoder you can choose which countries that you will allow bids from.

I'd used Scriptlance for years and then about 3 years ago they went into the crapper. I haven't checked back to see if they got better again, though....

dude.. most decent programmers have listings on odesk and elance...

top tier odesk / elance -- people tend to have very detailed profiles.
                mid tier getafreelancer
                lower scriptlance all else...

basically avoid programmers who bid on everything and say they can do shit like copy / clone xyz for 1k etc...

guru.com is the best... get ratings, see how fast they respond to others, escrow. Everything you need, and its free to post as many projects as you want.

rentacoder / getafreelancer / and elance

pick providers that have a lot of feedback and ask you questions about your project. avoid the providers that paste some 2 page long intro with a bunch of unrelated bs.

                        escrow is a beautiful thing.

just make sure that your requirements are as detailed as possible, these programmers are typically not going to go the extra mile and make suggestions. you'll get EXACTLY what you ask for, misspellings and all.

i have great group of coders that i've worked with for the past 7 years (out of russia) if you're interested. fairly priced and can do anything (web, iphone, etc.) just hit me up! believe me, i've been through a great deal of developers...

I've had very good results with rentacoder but I only deal with European and American coders. I like the escrow feature, the arbitrator which can come in if things go sour is a good security to have. Also very clear rules of how the coder is required to upload all their work to the site, so it can be reviewed.

                          I'm happy with their service.
