Help with program Video Edit Magic 2.2.3

I am just starting to learn this program for editing movies and splicing them... Is there an easy way to save the sliced tracks?

And how do I add text at the bottom of each movie clip? Does it always have to be a bmp file? can I create my own image to have at the bottom of each frame?
