    bye bye notepad++

    I have been having wierd problems with notepad++ in the last couple of versions... not to mention the fact that it has the bad habit of putting ^M hidden characters in the code.

    I have officially switched to Gedit. They have windows binaries available too and it works great and has everything in it that I used in notepad++.

    I have never had any problems with notepad++ though, I use an older version ...Notepad2 is not a bad tool as well but it has much less functions.

      Yeah... I think my primary fuckup was upgrading... but I still had some gotchas with it. All in all Gedit is way faster, consumes less memory and can open bigger files without a problem.
