It depends where you live and what you make a year.
You can pay between $200-$800 per month and none of it is enough to take care of a child.
I got a 2 year old and it is serious time and money. Day care alone is $100-$150 per week. Just to give you an idea.
My girlfriend is a full-time mom and i can afford her not to work. i am very fortunate that i never had a kid in my early 20"s versus being 38 and set in my career. I would have flopped bad having a kid with out having money when i was 20,
