Gallery making software?

I'm looking for desktop software to make galleries. Either from a basic template that I've made or to have the ability to add my own code from within the program. I used to use Arles and I tried it again recently. All I want to do is put in some text links in the galleries but I can't remember how to do it.

The software needs to be able to make thumbs and all that jazz.

If you use Adobe Photoshop that has a built in function for making HTML galleries with thumbs large images etc if you specify a file where your images are.

You would have to then edit the html to put your links in though.

why does it have to be on your desktop... you could use arylia on your server
