nothing wrong with either uugallery, nex gen or robogallery.

just checking them all out to see which will suit my needs the best for the long term.

dont want to have 200-300 published posts and then decide i dont like the plugin and want to change to new one and fuck all up.

i would personally use the built in system.

could always add a lightbox effect to it without editing any major files

i am "converting" old school picpost site to a wordpress, but in this new version of a site whole gallery is in the post + each pic on each page would retain that picpost touch.

so i am just testing stuff to see what i will use in the long term.

you can do that with the built in gallery, haver a look at the image.php and gallery.php template(s)
