    HELP ME! Problems with Hosting, Wordpress PHP and MySQL.

    I've got serious problems and I need some help badly. Please, let me to explain what happened from the very beginning.
    I have part of my websites at a dedicated box which was running php 4.4.0 and mySQL 3.23.49...
    I needed to install vbulletin which require PHP 5 so I’ve asked hosting support to upgrade the PHP and MySQL for me stating that if something would go wrong I would like to be restored to the previous state. (btw lets for get about vbulletin and having php 5, I've already have it installed at the other host account)

    Unfortunately something went wrong and after the upgrade my site powered by wordpress 2.7.1 wasn't functioning well (French and Czech characters were invalid and some posts were not displaying correctly – I mean by this actually two posts were showing only their titles and no post body data, the only distinctive thing that I could notice about those two posts was their length – I was thinking that perhaps database is broken so I created a fresh database to make a test and added that two questionable posts but still they were not displaying) so I asked them if they could back me to the previous state. They downgraded PHP to 4.4.9 and posts we displaying again the only thing that left improper where characters... I have found a temporary fix to this by deleting the line from wp-config.php
    Code:
    /** Database Charset to use in creating database tables. */
    define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');
    Anyway I've checked MySQL and PHP and noticed that the version are still not the same as I've been at the beginning so I asked them again to put it all back as it was before the upgrade.... they reinstalled MySQL to a 3.23.59 and weird thing happened posts are displaying correct but they disappeared at the homepage and at all category pages and also at the wp admin I’ve got:

    Code:
    Edit Posts

        * All (13) |
        * Published (12) |
        * Draft (1)

    Search Posts:

    No posts found
    Yesterday, Someone at the support explained to me why they are downgrading it instead of just simply restoring everything as it was before the upgrade - it's because the backups are done once a week and it took place on Saturday after the upgrade which was also done on Saturday...
    He reinstalled php to 4.4.0 and mySQL to 3.23.49 (as they were before the whole upgrade) though posts are still not displaying at the homepage and all category pages what is essential thing for me ... and also I don’t see any databases under MySQL Manager Panel now, but there are databases!

    So now the only thing I want is to get my site to work again since I've put so much work and effort in this project I've been modifying the website for about 6 months it's running 12 plugins also moded and I have done plenty of custom tweaks to my website. Someone Please Help Me Out Please!!!!!!! If any of your solution will show up to be helpful and will fix the problems I will even give you a prize for it! Anyway, Help me! Please! I always try to fix problems by myself but now I am helpless.

      when you upgraded mysql from 3 to 4, did you run the upgrade script to fix the tables?

        Actually yes, I was trying this idea too at the beginning. I have WP-DBManager plugin installed there and I used the option to repair the tables.

          Ok, I just wanted to update the topic. All things work fine again. Someone right took care of me.
          The end of drama for this week. I am going to bed now. Goodnight.
