    Mortality

I don't think about it too often, but just found out my mother was rushed to the hospital this morning after having a seizure. Sounds like she is going to be ok, didn't have a stroke, but they did find a few spots on the ct scan of her brain, so I am fully worried. Not a good way to start a sunny day.

sorry to hear about your mom. Unfortunately mortality affects us all, but it's hard when it brushes us.

Sometimes people ask me, "Is he still mortal, or did he turn into God this time again?"

I hope your mother comes out just fine!

I think about it all the time for the last couple of years. My mothers death and my subsequent near-death have really kicked me in the head on the subject.

Dont think about it too much or you'll wind up "existing" instead of "living".

Good to hear she is gonna be ok.
Health & love are more important then all other things combined.

Death doesn't scare me, but what does scare me is that these days many people are kept alive far longer than they should.

I spent some time with nursing home patients today, and I can only hope that if I'm ever in a position where my mind and body stop functioning and the only thing left to do is lay in bed, deal with the pain and get examined by numerous doctors and nurses, I'll have a gun to put a bullet in my head.

No news yet, just waiting. My uncles funeral was last week, so been kind of a eye opening couple of weeks. He actually should of died years ago according to his doctors. Pancreatic cancer but he fought it off longer than Patrick Swayze did though. Doctors gave him I think 6 months and he lasted 3 years. Uncle by Marriage as he was my Dads sisters husband, but still rough when I had to watch my closest cousin go through losing her father. Sigh...
