I have never told anyone outside your company the things I know about AVN from my experiences working with you as a writer and photographer.

You sent a grody creep to interview me when you most recently profiled me. He hit on me relentlessly, got his facts wrong, and simply fabricated large portions of the profile. Then he kept calling my cell phone afterward to leave flirty messages being totally repulsive and telling me not to "trust" AVN and especially certain people he didn't like.

I didn't make a fuss then either, even though what was written was damaging and AVN should have had better personnel contacting me in your name.

So now AVN thinks it is a good idea to put up a profile saying I am a porn star??? I've emailed you and asked nicely that you remove the nonsense and have received no reply. So hopefully this gets a response.

I can't read whatever the 9 comments at http://www.avn.com/porn-stars/46323.html might be. I wouldn't mind knowing what that is all about too, if anyone else can see them. But take the page down please. An apology wouldn't hurt either.

Just because a woman works in adult does not make her a porn star and I am sick of AVN acting like my job is something other than what it is. There are always people who fail to close business deals with SpookyCash because, when it is time to make it happen, they want to talk to a man.

Maybe the SEO on AVN changed when the AVN Online magazine folded and was absorbed, as I had not come across this "evidence" of my fictitious porn star career in the past. I would never have given AVN an interview (so you wouldn't have been able to send that creep to interview me), had I known of its existence.

Who created a porn star profile for me in 2002? What were the 9 comments? Who edited it in 2007 without deleting it for being obviously libelous? Higher ups at AVN have known me since the early 90's, so, while with a reg date of August 2009 for the person they had respond, AVN may appear to have no institutional memory, I know y'all know I am not a porn star.

I could observe on how quickly something posted on GFY got taken care of, when email got no answer, but we all already knew that. I suppose the emails I have in my address book are probably once again for people who no longer work at AVN.

I am an internet professional, so I use email, thanks. Tom Hymes is well-aware of who I am and what I do. He does not need me to call him on the phone to know I am not a porn star. What do you think I should tell him on the telephone vs. email?

You are an internet professional too, but you have worked for AVN so briefly that having you speak for them on something which you say happened before you got there is unfair to you at best.

I have repeatedly contacted AVN editors in private when grossly inaccurate stories were run because I felt like that was the way to handle it. Apparently AVN does not appreciate private communication, as I couldn't even get a page claiming I am a pornstar removed via private contact.

Who is AVN's head programmer and what "edit" did they do? Why did the screen say there were 9 comments?

avn burned me for $7 grand, selling me the last spot on their interstitial back in the day.

then they burned me fucking up my full page ad in their industry directory,and the empty promises to make it right. then the sara sazzman fiasco, where she took her rolodex with her to xbiz, bombarding me with emails.

all the while emails continued from avn, after i emailed them numerous times to be removed from their list.

so it's more than clear to me who the professional is not, in this thread.

After yet another egregious gaffe like this, the professional thing would be for AVN to send someone to the boards to smooth things over, not to tell off the person libeled by AVN.

I don't know who that guy was or what was his name. If I were you I would share it with the rest of us. I'm not a PR guy myself, but I've been on forums for a decade and I have handled truly tough situations for companies better than any PR guy would have done. How? By being myself and remaining honest and fair on each occasion.

There are 100s of people that have been employed by AVN in the past, a lot of which have done their share of things. I don't know too many things on the company's past employees, but I've met most of AVN's currently employed personnel and I have a strong confidence it's a great team that I want to be associated with. I have a word on who gets hired with AVN on the on-line division and those associated with it and believe me there is no chance on earth an idiot or scumbag will pass the CV process.

I don't know where you got the idea I have a hostile attitude toward you. The difficulty is that you have only been at AVN since August. The only message I see from you is one which says (I hope you don't mind me posting our ICQ convo) "Hi there" and that's it. I have contacted AVN privately many many times over the years and AVN has not taken care of anything I addressed privately either in person or on the phone or on ICQ or via email. I extended AVN a courtesy of addressing this directly over and over again and I feel I have gotten very little for doing so. The higher ups at AVN maybe just don't spend much time thinking about the promises they have made me over the years and not kept and the rest of the people are only there a couple months. It is very frustrating and I am sick of dealing with some person who has barely gotten their AVN business cards in telling me how it is.

It seems like the first thing any web professional would do is a search on Amelia G and AmeliaG on the site: http://www.avn.com/search/search.pl?...eSubmit=Search and also within AVN's databases. It looks like somebody sort of thought to do that this morning, but now there is a thing which says Porn Star Deleted . . . including as the author of the only article I've written for AVN in years at http://business.avn.com/articles/3835.html You will note that it is an article on monetizing niche traffic and not on an area a porn star's expertise would be likely to be in, yet clearly the porn star tag was attached to my author name.

It seems like it would be fairly simple to search for the probably fewer than a hundred times my name has come up in AVN and select out the ones which involved interviews, if anyone at AVN is actually even halfway acting like they don't know which gropey harassing creep I am talking about above. You don't really want me to start naming names and details about AVN's business and who has ever done something they shouldn't or what their real business or sex goals have been etc., do you?

I don't think we are remotely at that holy war level of bad and I wouldn't feel right about doing so.

If you really can't figure it out, tell me in public what you will do with the information on who that specific person among many was, and I will tell you privately if there is any benefit whatsoever to doing so.
