It will not boot up properly and I do not know enough about BIOS to fix this!

I would PREFER to keep the stuff on it, but if I lose it, I lose it. I really just need the machine to run cams off of...it is Windows 2000

reboot your computer, press "Delete" button before windows starts.. youll get in BIOS... and select BOOT UP STATUS or something like that from there.. select "IDE-0" for first bottup, and if you have any other hard drives to boot up. select IDE-1 for second .. there ya go! save end exit...

and as lensman check your floppy drive....
