Webcam recording software?

I'm trying to setup my webcam to record - like a security camera. The software I was just using took a few minute video but it's 2.58GB!

something I found from a google seach ... says it does exactly what you want and uses compressed files ... don't know if it's worth anything but it's something to look into.

Got WebcamXP and it works great. Using DIVX compression and their motion detection.

Need to keep an eye on my car outside and I'm too lazy to run to BJ's and buy their camera system..much less hook it up lol
