    transferring a domain

I had a question - I'v transfered about 20 domains to other registers in the past 6 months, it usually takes 48-72 hours to transfer. I transfered a domain today from Network Solutions to Godaddy and it transfered in under 4 hours. Anyone know what could of caused this?

Both registrars, the one you're transferring from, and the one you're transferring to, can set their own process and criteria for authenticating and handling a transfer. Either one can slow down the process. Beyond that, updates to the master zone file generally occur twice per day, at quasi-random times, so you're looking at a 0 to 12 hour delay after both registrars approve and submit the change before it shows up in the "whois database." Sounds like you just hit a good combination of everything.
