Smart Thumbs from Smart Scripts and TGPX as mentioned before is a good one too !

TGPX templating is more simple then Smart Thumbs but Smart Thumbs comes with a nice spondor database, adding galleries is very easy

Yes, you can. If the domains are on the same server and you purchase the server edition of the program... only a few bucks more but worth it.

Looks like all the thumbs in ST have to be in the main domain or a slave thumb server. What I'd really like is to have the thumbs stored on each domain.

The other thing is all the categories and groups to ID thumb size etc. Having all that in one place seems like it could get to be a bit much to deal with...

For ST, Think I'd prefer to have each domain be a main-domain. So manangement is isolated a bit. It would be fine to have one control panel and select a domain to work with and then just those categories and groups etc. show.

I've posted the Q in the ST forum and am awaiting an answer. Thing is I have to pick a direction and go. All those CT sites.....

I haven't tried TGPx yet (mainly because there is no skim version to test drive). Looks like both are popular.

Looking for more comment on both scripts.

The templating system is so powerful you can mimic any thumb script out there if you know what your doing.

tony is fine, struggling with the big attack on comus mainserver,

as for me i use a bit modifed comus, i simply removed the file that they used for the hack and it works for me.

Wished I knew that about modifying comus before removing!

I'm missing comus and finding it a real headache using other TGP scripts! If Tony brings out a more secure comus script will be back like a shot!...just circumstances right now means you have to look elsewhere

I think if you are lucky and your server settings were right..you could be immune to the attack...think I read Dred mentioning it somewhere...you may be one of those lucky few...

all depends on his server settings, and the way he set up comus ;) if he htpasswd protected the admin area hes safe, i gto two unaffected boxes that didnt even have the htpasswd thingy going.

i can safely say i will never use comus thumbs ever again after all the shit it has caused, and i'm sure there are many people who feel the same, in my opinion tony should let it die and give up on it, he obviously hasn't given a shit about it over the past year or so, so why bother now.
