i saw it last night,

its alright, but its no armegedon,

I think its weakest point, is that, they make up technology that does not exist and they blame the military,

those examples kinda ruined the fun of the movie for me,

if they had blamed some multinational company or mining interest,

and maybe set the movie in the future, like say 100 year or 200 years

and if they had put more effort into the science , then this fanatsy slash amegedon, stile ,end of the world action movie could have been realy cool,

it was funny and the actors were cool, and in general its a well made movie,

its just with all the war stuff going on, they come out with a movie that just does not offer the escape it could have

PS I think they will lose money on this one, its has horrible timming,

it even has a shuttle crash sequence,

I mean,

1. shutls crashing,
2. the corupt american military,
3. bull shit science and heros, that dont sell,

I could tell you more if you want.

The whole story is about the earh loosing its EMF.
Pacemakers stop, birds go crazy casue thye use EMF to direct themselves and shit like that.
They say without the Earth's emfs pretty much the world will burn up.

So they get a team of fuckers to make some matrix ship to enter the core where they need to set off nuclear bo9mbs one by one to get the hot metal core spinning again to re shart the earths emfs.

After problem after problem and crew members dying off one by one (some were supposed to be sad but my buddy and i were laughing quite noticably in the theatre making heads turn (i love attention)) and they die off one by one in sacrifice of the world.

Then they save the world but the last 2 people in the ship have no way to get back home.

That is until the hippie dude comes up with some idea to ride the heat blasts like a surfer rides a wave back into shore to save their lives.

Pretty cool shit!! NOT!

We would go out of our way to cheer and clap in those scenes that were intended to get people emotionally charged. Like when the blastes went off, and when they saved the day.

The critics behind us were pretty amused with our emotional aplause during these moments!!

In fact I cant wait to read what Portland's Bigges movie critic Shawn Levy has to say about the movie. We were sitting right in front of him..

Maybe he'll mention the two punks in front of him as the only people emotionally into the movie!

after we got out one critic came up to me with a camera.
Asked me about it.

I told him the movie was soooo intense I held my breath throught the whole movie, and then gave him the thumbs up and said "AWSOME" in my coolest looser voice.. He liked that!!

Then my friend told them in his most surfer like voice "I paid for the whole seat, but for this movie I only used the edge"

you know what, my review was to nice, it did suck,

except the crazy birds hitting children in the head, and crashing through windows,

I did not shit on the movie too much before,

probably because it was free, I would not pay to see this movie,

and PS, dream cacher is kick ass, and it has a animated matrix trailor which is kick ass,

thats the movie to see this week
