With all the billing discussions going on, I see that a lot of people are using a primary processor, and then one or more backup processors in case the first processor declines the card - ie it "scrubs too hard".
Doesn't this increase the risk of chargebacks? I mean, if a processor has fraud scrubbing in place which rejects a card, and you then go through other processors until you find one that accepts it, aren't you increasing the risk of letting a fraudulent card through?
I'm interested in peoples experience on whether this is true - ie multi-processors means more fraud, and if so whether the increased signups outweigh the extra costs of the chargebacks.
Ta Very Much.
