My cat is a vicious hunter. She'll climb the curtains to get at something.

Then, even if she gets bored with it after she disables it/renders it unconscious, the dogs will take turns chewing whatever it is up and further mutilating it until they get bored.

I just clean up the mess afterwards.

I try to trap some and put them outside. If they are so big that I am afraid to get near them, sometimes they get the shoe or a heavy book. I hate to do it though.

If it's a harmless spider, I leave it alone, they keep flies down.

If it looks potentially bad, I just attempt to stick my finger in it's ass and see how pissed off it gets at me, then crush it.

I catch and release, unless it is a highly poisonous one, in which case it is about 50 50 whether I will leave it or kill it, don't like to kill them but the worry of poison sometimes gets the better of me and I will kill it
