Galleries: quantity over quality?

Hi people,

I'm working on my soft website and was figuring out why all the sites galleries has tons of pictures that doesn't differentiate a lot from each other, isn't it better to have a gallery with 30 good, retouched pictures with different poses than 100 photos that doesn't differentiate too much?

30 pics isn't that much more than you get on a fhg. some fhgs even have 20 pics.

at least with 100 pics + the surfers feel they're getting something for their money

but i get what you mean when half of them are the same pose. its like they take 5 photos every 10 seconds, she's hardly even moved

I understand, they probably need quality...definitively they ask for quantity.

I was asking because, honestly, I got very bored by all that pictures with no emotion and very similar to each other...also if I payed 30 euros, but that's me of course.
