Best Screen capture program

What is the best screen capture program that records video for windows? I know linux has xvidcap which is asome because if you pick a window it auto resizes when it changes sizes, is there anything like that for windows?

I have snagit and it doesnt stay the same size of a window if it shrinks or gets bigger, is there a way to do it with snagit if not the other software mentioned can it do this?

Are you talking video cap or Just screen cap in general.. I have a FF plugin called FireShot that is great for just screen caps.
