Are paid accounts worth the money?

I see now that free accounts no longer get links checked and no longer get PR updates. Well I check my own links anyway and I don't care about PR, so no loss there. But, what about this privacy thing? "Invisible to search engines" it says. How are your links visible normally, as I can't see how an SE bot can see them from the default home page?

i didn't know that links aren't auto checked and no more pr updates. is this definatly correct? as there's not much point in being a member if that is the case.

If you put a link on your site yourself, and the partner does as well. PLease tell me how that trade would NOT be visible to a SE.

I think it means that your profile, with the domain list, is hidden from search engines.
Anyway, it used to be a good service but now it turned to shit imho.

i thought it was a good service, but i have just checked their site and it says:

Free Accounts Do Not Get Their Links Checked by our Spider.
Free Accounts Do Not Get Google PR Updates.

having links checked by the spider is THE major reason for having thunderball and if they aren't going to at least give that service to free members then its worthless and pointless using it.

considering they have only 63 paid members they could be making a mistake pushing free members so hard to upgrade by taking every function away.

I mean, if I don't link from anywhere to my TBN profile page, then there doesn't seem to be any way that SEs could discover that I am using it for link trading, so what is the point of paying for privacy?

Well, it a bussiness practice. If you want something - pay for it. Free is only cheese in the trap
