Question for nevada webmasters

Looking to either buy a vacation place near vegas or to pick up a couple of investment properties in decent neighborhoods. I've only started to look at Summerlin and would like some other suggestions on what areas to look at.

Do you want a place near the strip, or in the outlying areas like Summerlin, Green Valley etc?

Anything with beltway access is convenient, unless you're traveling during rush hour times.

You really want to avoid the green, purple, and most of the blue areas. Or at least I would.

I live in Desert Shores - 89128. Its really nice here.
