I guess I'll give it a shot. I found that one but the page date was 2006. I thought there must be something newer, but if this works, then it works. Thanks guys.

I'm running it under 2.7.1 without any difficulty, and the theming is fairly customizable with a little CSS work. I'm sure someone with some good CSS/WP skrillz could bust out a pretty sexy looking forum with simplepress.

We're about to find out.
I'll post it up here when I get it together.

i'm interested in seeing what you can do. my integration wasn't exactly what i wanted, though it still flows nicely enough with my theme to work it with the public.
simple press but I don't like it that much, better run vbulletin or simple machines on a subdirectory and link to it from your blog/main page

While looking over that plugin, I came a across a list of sites supposedly using the plugin and came across one that had apparently switched over to SimplePress. Just glancing at the wp-admin page I'd say it's a good 2.7.x install, probably up to date with 2.7.1...
looks pretty slick to me... http://www.daggersden.net/forum/gene...a-carte-cable/ i'd like to figure out how to display only the forum column and exclude the menu column, but at the moment i haven't had a chance to play around with conditional includes oe modifying the template things. That's venturing into some new territory with wordpress for me...
