    computer problems.. someone help

I took a harddrive outta someone computer.. installed it onto mine.

partition that harddrive into 2.. and moved everything over as backup on the new partition.

I formatted the partition 1.. that had the old os on it.

installed that drive back into someones computer and turn on.. with installation cd in.

    i get ndtlr error.

no fucking idea what im doing wrong..

suppose to be set on master.. boot is cd, hd, floppy.

How you could you try to pull off something like that, and not expect something weird to happen?

ok lets get this straight.. I put that harddrive into my computer as a slave.. backed up everything but on its own and created a formatted partition.. i than returned it to the computer as master to install new os..

windows don't like it when it is switched around from mobo to mobo... first thing I'd do is install the drive as a single unit ..primary master..if that don't work ....try to fix the MBR then do a "repair install" with winXP CD... if that don't work... then full format it.......and if that don't work... I kick the computer....have a few shots... go to bed.. and wake up the next day with the exact solution to the problem....

                      But hey... thats just me...
