so the 30th anniversary of the CD is this month. really changed the music biz. first it made them the biggest entertainment biz, with better sound, and re-releases of back catalogs from vinyl to CD that so many upgraded. It also paved the way for it's downfall with the introduction of digitized music. interesting for sure.

Probably the longest lived piece of digital technology the world has seen. Can't believe the shitty things have lasted this long. It would be like everyone still using Atari 2600s as gaming consoles instead of improving to xbox, etc. Even stranger is that MP3s have taken us backwards. You do realize the music indusry is not responsible for proliferation MP3s. They became popular because that's what all the illegal downloaders liked.
