Your favorite lightbox gallery script?

This may very well be it (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/), but I'm looking for the lightest full featured lightbox gallery script you can think of?

There's only a couple hundred out there, trying to nail it down to one or two really good ones.

I like the slower aspect of Lightbox as opposed to highslide. it makes it look more classy when it loads

HighSlide was decent, I liked it. Easy 2 use. Yet I've heard many people think about it otherwise.

I use highslide now for a mainstream site, but I will have to try out Lightbox2.

i HATE lightbox scripts - its very annoying and goes so slow.
highslide seems good because its very fast on the popup... the slowness kills the mood at trying to look at more pictures. annoying as fuck!

Why is it annoying?

The main gallery page is loaded and never unloads. You pick a picture, it pops, and you have the choice of closing it and picking another one, in which case the gallery page is still loaded. Alternatively you have the choice of hitting next, in which case you just became 100% more efficient.

You would rather a jpg load into a raw browser and instead? And instead of closing it or hitting next, have to navigate back, then select another pic?

You just became 100% more efficient and you are complaining about it.

if its annoying to me and im a webmaster, I cant imagine how much annoying it is to a surfer.

I try to stay away from these as much as possible.

if your going to use any, i would recommend highslide, its the better of the bunch.
