FfVb feature requests??

I'm working on redoing the entire thing to run more efficiently, have less points of failure (not that it's had many thus far) and to have quite a few more features.

So if you have any that you'd like to see, please let me know now.

Thus far I have
- ignore user's avatar
- ignore user's sig
- hide "last posted by" in thread details if by an ignored user.

Please keep in mind that this extension is for your computer only so no, I can't make it force others to ignore you.

i think you have most of the bases covered.. the only thing i dont like is it waits for the entire page to load before searching out the ignored users.. i mean, it makes sense why you'd have to load the whole page first, but i wonder if there's a way to ignore the user before the 'graphics' load or something... granted i am on the other side of the world and surely my pages load alot slower than y'alls do.. just sayin.

Make it work with IE8

Unfortunately it requires the page to be loaded before it's able to parse the HTML in search of users/threads to ignore.
It's simply unable to figure out what is what until all tags have closed themselves... including </html>

I don't foresee myself making an IE version any time soon. Even if IE8 truly does support standards finally, I'd still have to transcribe my extension to an entirely different language.

It's funny because this is probably one of the most requested "features" I get, but it's always from GFY users!

And yes, it could be done but sadly even now, there were people who actually enjoyed AlienQ's posts, some have requested DarkJedi be on that list but many enjoy his posts.

Also, I've found over 30 boards where this extension has been posted or suggested and to offer such a feature for every board on the net is a can of worms I definitely don't want to consider.

But the thought has crossed my mind that it would be entertaining for all FfVb users to just suddenly forget that some people exist without really realizing why.

I'm not sure I follow. They're 2 separate firefox extensions. You can use them both at the same time.
