    ElevatedX users software question...

What OS/browser combination works best for you? I'm using Vista and Opera, but it is going slow... like 3-4 minutes to add a set and 3-4 minutes to load the thumbs to cut them...

Made a test with Firefox, but it was still very slow. I only have a 2 MB connection, but I was not doing anything else on the computer, memory was fine and as a whole, I don't think it's just that many MBs to load, or is it?

    Thank you!

How big are your sets? The more content the slower it will load.

    I use Firefox, btw.

No, too bad. I import sets of 300pics, Mpegs high and low quality, mp4 and FLV. usually it doesn´t take more than 1 or 2 minute.

Are you asking about the OS in the client or in your server? Of course my server use Linux. I use Vista and IE or FF, it doesn´t matter, the speed of the import depend on the server I think. Ask AJ, but I think your browser won´t make it faster.

Thanks to all... it works pretty fast for others though, and my boss specifically said it was quite good on Mac, unfortunately I don't have one for now I'm going to blame my ISP on this one. On Sunday it was quite fast, but I was working during and after the Oscars so nobody must've been using the internet around here

            Will make some tests thanks!

Forget the ISP, if your server is working too slow to import content there is no ISP that can make it faster. If it´s slow right now write to your server admin and ask him for making a performance test. Maybe you are need more procesor, more memory or even more disk space.
