        .html means its a complete project and will get higher rank in se. but you cant like save to file on html so it blocks people from doing that.. i think about trying to save it.

            html is most popular, but it doesn't really matter.

            In my humble opinion, everyone should switch to .ninja and .pirate files.

              .htm is the result of a DOS/Windows legacy. The filename was stored locally with 3 characters for the extension so it was usually uploaded like that.

              Doesn't really matter since most hosts are set up to serve index.htm OR index.html (and sometimes index.php) as the default root page.
