Rapidshare will at least remove the file if you can show proof it is stolen content. They remove mainstream movies and such off their site quick. On the other hand Depositfiles[.]com is worse, they won't do anything or even answer your emails.

Torrents are more popular and newer than warez as far as I am aware - much more popular. But anyway, I don't know why people constantly whinge on here. Protect your own content as best you can but accept reality. If hollywood can't stop it you sure as fuck can't.

that may be true, but people doing the hardcore trading do not use torrents or limewire type of crap, that is for goofballs. seeeds slow DLs? come on, if you cant get a 1-2 gig DL in a few minutes, most move on.

Ive talked about this before, there are ways to get full movies, full albums (not single songs) with single clicks.... fuck torrents, that shit is old.

I simply disagree. Torrents are king for large media content. Of course porn should be more concerned about streaming, but for hollywood movies, etc torrents are king. Rapidshare isn't even that fast on http download, I regularly get quicker speeds on torrents (try configing your router right). And I don't have to dig through a heap of bullshit dead links, buy a premium rapidshare account or download split archives. Torrents = go to piratebay (or site of your choice), search for what you want, click show highest seeds, go in, review a few comments, click download torrent and let it sit. Warez and direct downloads may be pretty popular, but torrents are the real pirates choice. In fact if you look 90% of files uploaded to rapidshare originally come from torrents. They still have the demonoid text file or the same torrent name, etc.

Thousands of russian sites link to full dvds uploaded to at least 5-6 free file hosts, rapidshare being one of them, I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands more sites in other languages, how could you properly monitor your content?
