I have had acid reflux on and off for years (a ltitle left over treat after decade of partying). In the past couple of months, I had been taking Zantac75 before bed to make sure I did not wake up with grief in the AM.
Since taking that < prescription tin foil hats club enter now> it has helped, but also gotten a bit worse. My guess is because the medicine wears off, and body recuperates making more acid.
Long story short, I have had this cough for like two months. It does not go away. It has not gotten better or worse. This week, I started doing some research on prolonged cough, and came up with all kinds of stories where people had went to the dr's for weeks/months/years and got wrong diagnoses. In the end it was GERD.
It mentions the different pills your can take, and the Prilosec (and some others) is a proton pump stopper, where Zantac is a BK blocker or some shit. Anyways, I guess that has helped some people in the short term while working on taking off the weight.
I did a little experiment last few days. Empty stomach, no cough. Eat. Cough.
