    why trials?

    hello everyone, can someone explain me why is standart to offer trials? what is good on that? rich people will buy doesnt matter if its trial, people without money will download and publish to get more for free on sharing boards. whats good with this? its only that you support horny guys and let them jerk for few bucks? you know, sponsor offers revshare and trials, i choose revs without trial, someone buy from me, then he found that somewhere it was offered for only few bucks. he dont care about money, but my site is now looking more "expensive", so he will move and i lost paying member. maybe its wrong thinking, but i see it like that and maybe other from that millions of people can see it that way also ... its about choice, but ... i will be really happy to know another secret, thanks for any answer and wish you luck with your sites! ... so whats the magic of offering trials?

          The trials upconvert and have xsales. They are banking on the surfer not canceling. In the mind of the customer it is easier to spend $1.00 or $3.45 then it is to spend $30.00 what they don't realize at the time is they will forget or not bother to cancel and automatically be charged the full monthly.

                  No No it's not a trap I didn't mean it like that. It is using the customer's psychology against him/her but it's not a trap. Maybe smart or sneaky but not a trap. If the company is legit the surfer always has the chance to cancel before being charged the full monthly amount. Unfortunately some trials are basically a waste of money and you're hurting your surfers and your traffic not giving them a good deal.
