    what other cool javascript/ajaxy libraries/frameworks are there?

                thanks - i googled and found the others. that's what i like - programmers who think like design whores. they get orgasms when they make shit on a web page slide around, hide and disappear, and turn ugly form elements into eye candy.

                then of course all the other programmers hate them.

                  ive used mootools, jquery, and prototype all of them are pretty nice

                  i recently wrote a wordpress plugin that takes images with attachments on it and creates an ajax carosel slider.
                  Since 1999: 69 Adult Industry awards for Best Hosting Company and professional excellence.

                    I guess I could be one of the latter who is always outnumbered by "design whores". I've come to the following conclusion: Something "cool" is fleeting while something "functional" stands the test of time. Trying to get a balance between the two is the difficult part.

                    It's great if you can make shit slide around the screen and do funky stuff, but if it adds nothing to function, why do it? It might impress on the first, second, maybe third use, but after that, in my opinion, it becomes an annoyance. [/my personal rant]

                        well i agree with that - if it's doesn't have any function it's useless. but most of the stuff i'm seeing on sites isn't function-less.
