One thing I hate about Codeine...

OK I just had surgery on Monday... nothing big.

They gave me codeine pills for pain... fucked up shit about those is I can't Poop afterwards

Hopefully the Poop pills Sweetums gave me will work

The stomach aches and probably your poop problem are definitely the resulting suck of codeine use. Not sure what the doc threw you on, but there are alternatives that aren't so harsh. Any time I'm prescribed T3's I instantly ask the doc to prescribe me Emtec's instead. I'm assuming you're on something a little stronger after your surgery, but if not, Emtec is definitely something to look into. Emtec = T3's -Caffeine, and a couple other shitty T3 additives.

i have taken derivatives of codeine for years

best thing you can do is don't take one before you go to sleep, then in the morning before you take your first one drink something with a LOT of caffeine....

I got operated for an ombelical hernia, they gave me Emtec 300 30mg codeine.

I'll just drink more liquid and hope for a not to painful first release...

see as a vegetarian, I can tell you,... the thing people tend to forget is that fruits and vegetables are what keep your intestines full of moisture... fruit especially DIGESTS in your intestines versus the stomach, so if you eat apples or some fruit that will provide your intestines with lots of water and will kmake it easy to pass.... dehydration is what makes people constipated, and will make your pxperience not as fun. Lube that tube man!

Besides the obvious (fiber,water), get some stool softners and lots of flax oil. If ya need to go now use fleet phospho soda(oral) from any drugstore . Be-careful with that stuff though it's no fucking joke, doctors tell people to use it before certain types of surgery(it cleans you out).

Don't get me wrong I don't feel bad at all... I'm just a very regular guy when it comes to poop and the last 2 days I ain't been normal and I can feel the build up.

So far I tried coffee, flax n fruits, took 2 stool softners (thanks to sweetums) and had a beer and a blunt... but still no poo

stool softners usually take 12 hours I think. Two isn't that much for most guys, ya can always take a few more it won't kill ya. Btw why I never see you on icq for like a year Jman?

I had a similar prob about a week after throat surgery... I took HALF the recommended dose of a laxative and felt it coming several hours later while I was still about 15 mins drive away from home. Scared the shit out of my wife (who was at home) because I flung the front door open and raced straight to the toilet. I made it though.

I had a really bad cough last year, and my mother-in-law bought me some cough medicine from the pharmacy and it had codeine in it. I took a massive chug out the bottle, and went to bed and had the craziest night ever! Hallucinations, crazy dreams, sweats, etc.

I finished the bottle in about 5 days LOL.
