    Comcast Internet Speed

A little over a week ago Comcast upgraded plans in WA, so standard users get 12mb/4mb. Neat eh? Well, I have a standard plan and am getting 20mb/8.5mb.

    I love it.

FIOS is WAY better if its available in your area. I just called comcast to tell them im switching over and they gave me almost 3 months for 50% off

    Version FIOS

Download up to 50 Mbps / Upload up to 20 Mbps =

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have a home telephone number, so they were unable to tell me if it was available in my area. She told me to go get a neighbors phone number. More hassle than it's worth.

Verizon customer support is stupid. you can use your own address - http://www22.verizon.com/ForYourHome...omeSignin.aspx

They keep bugging me to switch over my cable and TV, but the idiot i talked to day gave me their best deal on exactly what I have for comcast and it was $8 more a month. no way am i switching over to spend more

Yeah, I've been there before. They can't find my address. It's not like I live in the sticks, I'm in the middle of the freakin city.

honestly unless you're downloading a shitload of HD movies I'm happy with my comcast 12/2 service. I really wish some competition would come in simply to lower prices. I want to spend $20/mnth for this speed service AND basic TV service! I don't mind waiting 30 minutes for my movie to download...

it will be worth it when companies start streaming 1080p movies or offering them on on demand.

I'll stick with whatever internet I can get for $30/mnth or less. I already download EVERY tv show I care to watch and most of the movies I want to watch. I stick with divx/xvid for MOST movies but I like grabbing 720p or 1080 on SOME movies. some movies resolution really doesn't matter.
