Don't get too excited, it is just the calm before the storm.
The dollar will never be the same again and will only get worse unless someone actually tries to fix our problems instead of just throwing more money (fake or printed) at them.

I hope it will be back at around 1.30 or something, that was cool, with this or higher....it is just so fucked up
i lost tons and tons of money when it was 1.60
It's because the FED lowered the interest rate to almost 0.
I agree, but also think folks are anticipating inflation (i.e., more dollars chasing the same goods and services) due to the present AND expected FUTURE infusion-and-printing of dollars into the system to get the economy off of life support.
Who would want future dollars that won't buy what they did two weeks ago, or today?!!!

That's the problem we all face in the West and until it's addressed and the real causes of this situation are faced we will keep suffering. The real problem is we thought technology, banking and services would balance the huge imports. The results are all clear to see.
The short term will be something like the "New Deal" the long term will be a return to manufacturing goods the rest of the world will buy to balance what we buy from them. We also have to protect our technology so when we invent or develop something the Chinese don't just copy it and say screw you to the patents.
they need to lower dollar so exports seem cheaper (and that is only 1 of the reasons) there's alot of other reasons too. and also conspiracy theories.. waiting to read some posted in here soon ;P
lol, its still bush who is running the US (in the ground)... or at least he thinks so... let me rephrase. Its still bush who is the puppet in the white house...

Yah it's gonna drop even more. I saw on the news last night that the Fed was going to start printing as much money is needed to help with the recession. Here comes super inflation! yay.

What're you suggest go do with our money....to some not expensive shares or some real property ...... is it bettter to keep our money at home. I guess we can earn some $$ fo this recession.....europe............any other answar
I think that after some time it will start to go up again, as Europe will start to face more problems. Actually the Euro will fall
Maybe I am wrong in this assumption and if so someone please call me on it but this is how I see it...
I think the rest of the world will be fine if they can survive the withdrawal process of getting the US out of their system. The US has outlived it's usefullness to the rest of the world... We aren't doing or offering anything the world needs.
The rest of the world will kick us like a bad habit if we don't turn that around... History proves that the leader of the pack will fall from it's pecking order when it becomes either economically or productively useless and unnecessary.
If anyone wants to read a really good book, try "The Lucifer Priniciple"

I'm expecting a bigger wire to come in, that's why the $ is diving. As soon as the wire hits and the money is spent, the $ will go back again. That's just my luck. Ugh, fuck it.
