Mini DV Dick recomendations?

Im sick of using the cameras and want a better set up

I got the Sony GVD300 but if i had a few extra bucks id get the GVD900 that is if they are still current models... I brought mine about 3yrs ago and has been used pretty much constantly... better tape drive mechanisms in them than handy cams which u risk fucking up by using for heavy editing...

I'm looking too, escpecially after I tripped over the firewire cord and knocked a $2500 camera off the pc.

Pinnacle is coming out with a $400 PCI mini dv deck you can mount in a pc, but I am getting tired of waiting...

another vote for the Sony GVD-300/900... i've had my 900 for nearing 4 years and using it daily, very tough little units..!

I have been using a Sony DHR-1000, it plays miniDV and DVCAM tapes, which you need is you are editing anyting over 60 min. It also has 10 event assemble editing and I have used it with both Sony and Canon cameras . . .

Take a look at the Sony DSR-30, we've had one for two years now with no problems.

It has some great little extras.

Only Sony deck that I don't like is the DSR-11

We had lots of problems with this deck and FireWire hard drives
