    iPod question

Just got my first iPod as a gift and have a question.

If I upload a CD will it upload it as 15 different songs or one large file?

    TIA

      Oh, cool. Thanks.

Another question. Why do they bother adding a browser to this thing? Do they expect you to carry a microscope with you?

Just a tip, I would go into itune preferences and change the encoding settings so they rip your CDs as MP3's.

By default it is set to encode them to some bullshit encrypted format, so if you happen to want to burn a mixed CD using the audio files you have ripped to your computer, to pop in the car or whatever, then it won't let you burn the audio files on your computer to CDR. Even though you ripped them from your CDs.

Just a pain in the ass thing I thought I would point out. I took the time to rip all my CDs to my computer years ago and made the mistake of not changing the encoding format. Not really looking forward to doing the process again, so I went out and bought aftermarket stereos that have Ipod control built in, instead of messing with CDs.

I will be sure to come back to this thread when I get ready to do my first CD.

I think I have a task running on my navigation portion because I was playing around when I first got it . . . can't figure out how to tell it I was just messing around.
