The best tip is, play small & build up enough money so if you bet what you have won you still break even.

Don't go winning 500 bucks and bet 500 on the next game. There is ways to gamble and come home with a fat pocket, just most gamblers are alcoholics or cracked out.

I've won and lost thousands. We have casinos here. I'm what you would call an addict, I guess, but I've been good lately.

Tip #1 Don't gamble (easier said than done)

If you spend it all quicker than you planned and are running low on cash...here's another tip.

Stand by a slot machine with a handful of quarters and when you see a waitress come around put one quarter in order a drink.

Pull the handle and now sit there until she comes back with your drink. Make sure you tip her put order another drink and put another quarter in and pull the handle as she walks away.

Do this enough and you can get shit faced for under 20 bucks and spend the rest of the night stumbling down Freemont Street.

Better yet buy yourself some blotter and just trip on the lights all night. It would be a hell of a lot more entertaining.

that's the case, same happens with online casinos. They emulate exactly the real ones, they don't have to cheat anyone to make a profit. Casinos win always at the end of the day. Even the few people that earned huge amounts on casinos, many of them lost them in a short period in the way they earned it. I know in the states to get a casino license it's not that expensive. Here in Greece you have to spend many million dollars to get just a licensed(limited numbers also).

Anyway the decision is yours.

The only game you can win over the longhaul is poker. That is because the casinos get the same amount whether you win or lose. they do not care if you win a million dollars or lose a million as you will win the same amount. Horseracing is also like this, but the % they take is so big it is almost impossible to win.

Poker also can be played all day for a relatively small amount of money - even if you are not great at poker - you should never lose more than $200 - $300 playing the smaller limits. On average - you will probably lose more like $40 - $80. I have never lost more than $150 playing poker on the weekend at Atlantic City (usually for like 20 - 30 hours of playtime) and I have played with some of the best. Ususally I come out ahead.

It has not shown up yet, but it says something about sales updating after midnight - so maybe that is the same with signups too.

I have been thinking about signing up for that PenisPill - I will sign up under you.

I have tried BlackJack, even card counting. I just can't do it - they deal too fast and if I blink - I can't do it. Even simple counts I can't do at that speed. I used to have basic Stratgey Memorized, but it just bores me. I know people addicted to BlackJack. I just can't stand the crotchety (sp?) people that bitch and complain, because I "took their card".

I have had a FEW people get upset at me at poker - like when I had four 8s and beat the pants off a guy with aces full, but in general - I have a lot more fun with poker and now that the Trop (in AC) is non smoking - I really like it there. A lot of people prefer the Taj - and I will hopefully be there in December for the US Poker Championship, but I prefer the Trop for everyday play.

Poker is more my speed and I don't have to worry about losing all my money. I like the Tournaments as well and have only played in a few, but they really can get your blood pumping. I was so nervous at this one:

That I had to push my bets along the felt as I would shake too much picking them up and it was an obvious tell as to when I had a good hand. I was lucky to have placed 6th (not too bad for my third official tournament).

It was really cool to play against some of these people (there were two poker authors there) - and the guy that came in first has played in the WSOP and has played and won against pros like Amarillo Slim and T.J. Cloutier (who wrote the book on tournament hold'em - and lost out in one WSOP to someone who credited his $1,000,000+ win to reading that very book).

I just don't have fun playing other games. Poker can give me such a rush - nothing else can compete.

Up here, and most places now I think, they use like 6-8 decks per shoe - so good luck counting cards! Do they still deal a single deck in AC?

Yeah I hear you on that one! I always try to get in the anchor spot whenI can, and I feel 95% of the time I make good intelligent decisions, but if you have a bunch of assholes at the table and the dealer has a streak of beating everyone, you'll soon be receiving several dirty looks and angry mumbling, because of course it is all your fault that the dealer got blackjack when the guy in the middle stayed with 14, and the woman next to you split 3's with an ace showing!!! (The old women are the worst!!! What bitches!!!)

I also play "Let It Ride" a poker-based game which is alright, but yeah the real thing is the best. Sometimes a few of us have a private game here and we play all kinds of games like baseball, fiery cross, bomba, high-low split, Chicago etc, plus all the other more well-known games.

No they have never used a single deck (at least not in recent history). With some basic card counts - it doesn't matter how many decks there are - you are just trying to detect a Bias of 10s - not to know every card.

I gave up on blackjack a long time ago. I have played let it ride, but unless you "cheat" you do not have an advantage (even with the knowledge of your neighbors - I still don't think you do) and I played until I was up a bit and then left. My friend lost about $100 in 30 minutes and joined me at the poker tables. It is kind of fun, but only when winning

Liitle old ladies are my favorite at the poker tables Then when they make mistakes - you make money. It cracks me up, because some of the men in their 50s and 60s get really ticked off at them when they make dumb plays - they don't seem to want to make money.

Some of those women have wads of hundreds - I think they are lonely - one actually lives at the trop (so she told me). Some of my best stories are of the old women playing poker. One was playing SOOOOO Bad that when the waitress didn't come back with her drink - I flagged her down when I saw her so the little old lady wouldn't leave. I guess I should feel bad

Personally I like blackjack, and the odds are good for the players, not just the house.

However -- it doesn't matter what you are playing, the biggest key is to have enough to stake a good run -- if you've only got say 500 bucks to blow, don't go to a $25 table, since you'll fast be out of money if you hit a rough spot --

Since you are determined...

Go to a busy area where alot of people are playing slots. Look for a Slot Attendant. Sometimes they will be in raised areas in a kiosk of slots.

ASK then what to play... befriend them and TIP THEM when you win. I was a regular at The Golden Nugget for about 6 months. I would go and play 3-4 times a week, dollar slots... 3 coins per spin.

My max loss would be 200 bucks... I never carried more money than that with me. I would lose once a week... Break even or come out a lil ahead once a week... and WIN 200-1000 once a week. The slot gals are watching those machines and can give you a bit of an edge. They KNOW when somoene has run alot of money through one with no hits. IF you find a good one... yah got it made.
