Need script or service for sending out mass html e-mails.

Friend of mine is a Doctor and he has about 50K emails in a database he wants to send an html formatted newsletter to.

Is there a script or service any of you guys know about that would work best for that. It needs to have some sort of admin, delete emails that get kicked back, etc.

I just mention he is a Doctor because this is not for spamming or anything like that, it's to keep his peers informed of his research.

So is there a script like that available? Should he get one custom made? Is there a service that does this that you've used?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many of the places I'm seeing are like $500/month for 50K emails which is in line with constant contact and netatlantic. But that mailermailer.com is only $49.

Did you have a good experience with mailermailer?

I just can't believe these people are getting $500 to send 50K emails.

Try PhpList...it does all you ask and I use for a list 15k big. Free as well and open source. If you have Cpanel with Fantastico you ought to be able to install it with just a few clicks.
