Live streaming encoding

I have a client that needs to stream a live audio and video mix to a server.

Anyone know of an encoder that can handle this type of thing?

Basically he wants to encode locally, upload a single stream to the server and redistribute from there.

Very similar to what webcams do, but it needs to be faster.

Quicktime broadcaster does this very well using h.264 AND it works with flash streaming servers.

Depends on what type of quality he is looking for. Their are solutions from Free to 100K , its all based on broadcast quality, delay and scale. If you want more tech info ping me at jay @ objectcube.com for free advice.
