Final Cut Pro, Compressor 3 issue [videos not encoding]

Hey Guys,

I can't seem to get this fixed so that compressor 3 works right.
What ever jobs i send to compressor they just end up never getting processed and it just seems to sit there in qmaster.

I use a mac book pro and 4 gig ram

Are you on the latest version of compressor? If not try updating it..may fix you problem.

Yup Latest version and sadly it does not fix it.

Personally I find Compressor to be very very slow .. it has taken me in the past approx 16:1 compression time. I was compressing XDCAM footage to dvd. a 90 min movie took approx 18 - 20 hours

What format are you exporting too ?

when we compress to flash it takes 4 hours for 60 minutes give or take
WMV does it in half the time of the clip size

Are you trying to use qmaster on a single machine? It is really meant for cluster computing and can create more overhead than needed. I would just submit the jobn to the local machine instead of the cluster you created.

Not a problem . I cut on Mac (.mov) .. and compress to fvl on Sorrenson (pc)

as long as your PC compressor can handle mov's or Mpegs, your good to go
