I didn't dig Nirvana all that much either (I'm 32, if that helps place my music time-frame), except for their unplugged album for some reason. Some other popular "grunge" bands from those days I still enjoy a lot.

And for Foo Fighters, my ears / head / whatever, just don't dig on their tunes.

I was a big fan of Nirvana I grew up with that music. I will say though I didn't like the Foo Fighters at first because it was a "can't replace" Cobain type thing. However after I while I realised that they are a pretty damn good band and it's actually pretty amazing they managed to survive the death of their lead singer and have success a second time as a band.

What do you mean "they" managed to survive... Foo Fighters aren't a continuation of Nirvana with a new lead singer. It's a whole different band that Dave started.
