it's been a while since I figured stuff like this out, but to find out amps you take watts and divide it by the volts
so a 700 watt power supply would draw 700w/110v= almost 6 1/2 amps
of course there is the possibility of a spike in current draw and continuous usage close to the limit is also a consideration
note: I am not an electrician and anything I have said above is just for shits and giggles and should not be used as advice and I take no responsibility for any blown fuses or electrical mishaps

Yeah I searched and Im reading that. I think Im going to get a electrician in to check the outlets out and see what I can and cant put on it.Comment

Tony you will be fine with that as long as the electrical standards in the house are fairly current. So any house build since 1970 or so you should be fine. I run as much as that if not more.Comment

Ours was built in the 40's and at one point last year or so, I had 6 machines and a small fridge all plugged into one circuit. Every once in a while when the air would kick on the fuse would pop, but that was about it.
I don't think anything would happen, but if you're REALLY worried. hire a pro, the last thing you EVER want to do is take the advice of a bunch of dumbshits on GFY. When your shit burns down, who are you going to blame.. us.. or yourself?

1 outlet does not mean 1 20 amp circuit, usually all the receptacles in that room will be on that circuit. So if you have other shit in that room you could run into problems.
The only thing that will happen is you will trip the breaker if that breaker draws more than 20 amps.
20 amps is plenty for what you sound like you have, unless you have like a heater and a bunch of other shit plugged in on that circuit in that room.
amps = watts divided by volts
so a 100 watt light bulb draws 9/10 ths of an amp.
you can add up everything your running and figure it out
where people run into problems and burn shit down is when they alter the breakers or fuses
(like the old penny trick) in the older screw in type fuses before circuit breakers became more commonplaceComment

And you have fuses?
My rental property was built in 1914 and it's all breakers in there, 2 units, 100 amps.
